Western Digital introduced on the market External Storage System (based on drives), designed for users of Macintosh computers (Apple). The system called My Studio Book Edition II contains two drives and can store 2 TB data.
Capacity 2 TB means that you can store in memory 571 400 digital photographs, 500 000 pieces of music, videos, high-resolution and a length of 240 hours, and DVD movies with a length of 880 hours.
The manufacturer claims that the memory of My Book Studio Edition II gets about 30% less power than similar external mass storage systems containing two drives. The device handles corporate software Time Machine (backup data) and can also work with the PC operating under the control of the Windows operating system.
My Book Studio Edition II does not include a fan, it works very quietly. Western Digital installs in memory interfaces eSATA, USB 2.0 and FireWire 800 The device supports the functionality of Safe Shutdown (data protection in the event of failure of settlement).
The memory costs U.S. $ 350 (1 TB), or $ 600 (2 TB)
