According to the latest rumours, the Apple company is preparing to introduce a new operating system – Mac OS X 10.6, which will be called the Snow Leopard. First of all, the new Leopard will be even more integrated with Apple’s products and be far more secure than earlier versions.

The list of news, which is known that there will be in Snow Leopard:
– 64-bit technology-enabled RAM to 16TB, which means up to 500 times faster action;
– A new QuickTime X to handle the media;
– Manage MS Exchange 2007 (Mail, Address Book, iCal);
– OpenCL (ie Open Compute Library), by which it will use to calculate the graphics card (GPU), which has significantly improved the speed and quantity calculations;
– SquirrelFish – engine Java Script. This forces the Safari browser will work up to four times faster than today;
– Grand Central – a completely new technology, whose task is to manage several cores at once. Its operation will accelerate substantially all processes.

Western Digital introduced on the market External Storage System (based on drives), designed for users of Macintosh computers (Apple). The system called My Studio Book Edition II contains two drives and can store 2 TB data.

Capacity 2 TB means that you can store in memory 571 400 digital photographs, 500 000 pieces of music, videos, high-resolution and a length of 240 hours, and DVD movies with a length of 880 hours.

The manufacturer claims that the memory of My Book Studio Edition II gets about 30% less power than similar external mass storage systems containing two drives.
